4 Favorite Go-to RV Camping Meals

RV Camping Meals

One thing you want to have happen while you are camping is fast, easy meals that the whole family will enjoy. To that end, there are some universal favorites that most everyone finds quite popular and tends to repeat over the course of their camping trip. We’ll list a few to get your idea engines started.

1/ Creamy Coney Sauce

Simply open a can of Hormel chili and a package of cream cheese. Mix them together in a bowl and warm them in the microwave or in a pan on the stove. You can pour this mixture over brats or make some very tasty nachos by drizzling it over tortilla chips – or both!

2/ Walking Tacos

These are great, particularly on your first night of camping when most of your energy has been spent in unpacking and getting set up. You can pre-make your taco meat at home and bring it with you. Bring individual serving packages of Doritos and give one to each of the family members. Let them smash up the chips inside the bag and then they can load them up with taco meat, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, chopped lettuce, onions, jalapeno, hot sauce, whatever suits them. It’s easy for you and, best of all, no dishes to wash when you’re done.

3/ Spaghetti Pies

You can use pie irons for this or even a flat plate grill. Bring a bag or two of garlic bread, mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, parmesan, and some pre-cooked spaghetti. Spread the garlic bread with some marinara and load it up with the cooked spaghetti, mozzarella and parmesan. Add a top slice of garlic bread and toast them up on the grill. Delicious and very simple to make.

4/ Campfire Fajitas

These are convenient because you can make them up in the morning and toss them on the fire shortly before you’re ready to eat. Use heavy duty foil, cut into squares and load them up with strips of beef, peppers, onions, mushrooms, a little fajita seasoning, and a dab of butter. Wrap them up into a little pillow of camping food heaven and seal the edges up well. You can cook them on the grill or in the campfire coals. Be careful when you open them. The steam is very hot. Pour them out into some soft, flour tortillas if you’d like and sprinkle them with shredded cheese.

We hope all your camping meals are fabulous and shared with the people you enjoy most. Happy camping to all.
