Austin is considered the Live Music Capital of Texas, with a wide array of venues that provide a broad spectrum of musical styles to enjoy. Beyond the music, Austin is also the home of the University of Texas, dining that ranges from four-star restaurants to down-home barbecue joints, world-class shopping, the National Wildflower Research Center, the Texas State History Museum & IMAX® Theater, exciting events and so much more!
San Antonio is only 50 miles south of the campground. The eighth largest city in the United States, San Antonio retains a true sense of history and tradition and blends in modern features. The city has always been a crossroads of the sounds and flavors of Native Americans, Old Mexico, Germans, the Wild West, African-Americans and the Deep South.
